March 7, 2011- Dory Moore

Every time I think about Dory, a distinct memory pops into my head of Christmas day when nobody would climb a tree with me so she did and I wish I could express to you in words how much that meant to me. Ever since I was little, Dory has always been someone I constantly told people about. Whether it be a cool adventure or trip she had gone on, or how much fun she was to hang out with when we had the whole family over. She has always been someone I look to with such excitement and such joy in my heart.

A few summers ago when I was in California, we went to visit Dory and Steve for dinner and immediately I was mesmerized by her lifestyle. Everything seemed so simple and easy; life was beautiful because she viewed it that way. Listening to her talk about travels and how her students were made me step back and think about how I was viewing life. I left that trip feeling inspired to look for the joy and beauty in everything placed in my pathway. Dory, when I take a minute to look at how beautiful the earth that the Lord has created, I think of you. I think about how excited you would be just to stop and look at the wonders and secrets of what He has created. Thank you for unknowingly inspire me to not rush through life, and to take time to look around and appreciate all that I am blessed to live by. I love you forever.

Psalm 104:24
"O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures."
