February 3, 2011- Hallie Cardé

Beautiful Hallie, it amazes me the people God places in your life sometimes. It amazes me when He places them and why He does, it amazes me that I don't have any idea His reasoning for it yet. I am so thankful that I don't know why, and I am so thankful that He chose to place you in my life now.

Hallie is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I would have told you that from the moment I met her up until today, but she has an ease about her that makes you want to be around her all the time. She has a spirit that is so patient and inviting to all who she comes in contact with; it's a beautiful gift to make a stranger feel important, and she is blessed enough to have it. I got to have coffee with Hallie today and every question she asked, every answer she gave and every look she had made me feel so loved, and so worth her time. That in itself is a strange thing to feel when we have become to numb to ignorance and distraction from a friend.

I am excited to know Hallie better, and for God to teach me so much more through her. What I have learned most from Hallie so far, is to be strong and patient. The kind of strength that could only come from Christ resides in her and her perseverance is an incredible representation of it. Hallie, stay strong in who you are in the Lord. Never be afraid to stand out because of how incredibly bright your light is, and how overwhelming your love is for others. You are an unbelievable daughter of Christ Hallie, and I cannot wait to see His plan for you unfold. I love you forever.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
"That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever."
